June, 16, 2025. As part of our ongoing efforts to build impactful partnerships that align with our mission and vision, we recently held a calibration workshop with Legado, marking the first step in a promising journey of collaboration.
The meeting served as an opportunity to explore mutual alignment in values, mission, and strategic priorities, as well as to assess team readiness on both sides. We also touched on initial funding discussions, including a headline budget conversation, laying the groundwork for more detailed planning.
At the heart of this dialogue was a shared commitment to community-led conservation, a model that not only enhances biodiversity but also strengthens livelihoods. Our approach closely aligns with Legado’s 360º view of life, where communities are empowered to define their own priorities across diverse areas such as health, education, environment, governance, and livelihoods. This holistic vision allows communities to create a meaningful legacy in the places they call home.
A powerful approach used by Legado is how community members actively articulate how each life dimension intersects with others when creating their vision for the future. This integrative perspective ensures that everyone and everything come together to create a Thriving Future.
